Faith that Shows Gratitude 감사를 드러내는 믿음
Luke 누가복음 17:11-19

     Many of us have just finished spending time with our friends and families celebrating Thanksgiving.   Thanksgiving is one day of the year that we can join together and offer our thanks to God for all that He has done for us in our lives.  We give thanks to God for our good health, for giving us our families, for food, jobs, and for all the comforts that help us to live better each day.  
        우리들 중의 많은 분들이 감사절을 기념하기 위하여 가족들과 친구들과 좋은 시간들을 보냈습니다. 감사절은 우리가 함께 참여하여서, 우리들의 삶에 우리들을 위하여 행하신 하나님의 모든 것들을 위하여 감사를 드리는 한 해의 한 날입니다. 우리는 우리의 좋은 건강을 위하여, 우리에게 가족을 주심을 위하여, 음식과 직업을 인하여, 그리고 나날이 더 좋은 삶을 살 수 있도록 우리들을 도와주시는 모든 위로로 인하여 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.

   As Christians, we should continually live our life offering thanks to God for the ultimate gift He gave us through His Son Jesus Christ.  Jesus made us who were unholy and separated from God and made us whole again.  He not only healed us of the disease of sin but He delivered us from death.  Knowing this, every day we should find our hearts at the feet of Jesus giving thanks to Him for what He has done for us.
        그리스도인들로서 우리는 하나님께서 당신의 아들 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리에게 주신 궁극적인 선물로 인하여 하나님께 감사를 드리는 삶을 계속적으로 살아야 마땅합니다. 예수님은, 거룩하지 않고 하나님으로부터 떨어져 있던 우리를 온전히 새롭게 만드셨습니다. 그분은 죄의 질병으로부터 우리를 고쳐주셨을 뿐만 아니라 우리를 죽음에서부터 건져내셨습니다. 이 사실을 계속적으로 인식하면서, 우리는 예수님의 발 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 그분의 우리를 위하여 행하신 것을 인하여 감사를 드릴 수 있는 마음을 계속적으로 가져야 마땅합니다.

          Today’s passage can help us to understand that Jesus is pleased with those whom He has healed when they offer thanks for what He has done for them.  Thanks is also an indication of genuine faith. After Jesus heals us from our sin, sincere gratitude produces a life that shows thanks not just in words but in our service to the Lord.
        오늘의 본문은 예수께서 고쳐주신 사람들이 그들에게 예수께서 해 주신 것으로 인하여 그분께 감사를 드렸을 때, 예수께서 기뻐하신다는 것을 우리들로 하여금 이해할 수 있도록 우리를 도와줍니다. 감사는 또한 진정한 믿음의 한 표식(標式)입니다. 예수께서 우리의 죄로부터 우리를 고쳐주신 이후, 진솔한 감사는 단지 말로만이 아니라 주님을 향한 우리의 섬김 속에서 감사를 드리는 삶을 낳습니다.

Let’s look at the passage beginning with Luke 17:11
오늘 본문의 누가복음 17:11 말씀부터 봅시다.
11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
11 예수께서 예루살렘으로 가실 때에 사마리아와 갈릴리 사이로 지나가시다가

  Before we even go into the text, I want you to get a general idea of Jesus’ travel as he went to Jerusalem as it says in verse 11.  It appears that their was an elapse of time between verses 10 and 11 of Luke 17.  The raising of Lazarus seems to fit in during this time. If you go to John 11:53-54 (after Jesus had raised Lazarus) it says, 53 Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death. 54 Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim, and there remained with His disciples.

        As we look at the map we can see that Lazarus was healed at the Bethany near Jerusalem and then Jesus went to Ephraim.  And in today’s passage in verse 11, it says, Jesus passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.  That is kind of a long route to Jerusalem, isn’t it?  Well, John 11:53 did says the authorities were plotting to kill him so this is good reason for Jesus to avoid them.  
        우리가 지도를 보면 알 수 있는 것처럼, 나자로는 예루살렘 근처의 베다니에서 죽음으로부터 소생함을 받았으며, 그 후에 예수님은 에브라임으로 가셨습니다. 그리고 오늘의 본문 11절에 의하면, 예수님은 갈릴리와 사마리아의 중앙부를 통과하여 예루살렘으로 향하여 가셨습니다. 예루살렘으로의 긴 여정이지 않습니까? 글쎄요, 요한복음 11:54 절은 당국자들은 예수님을 죽을 모의를 하고 있었고, 이것은 예수님이 그들로부터 떠나신 마땅한 이유가 되는 것이라고 말씀해 주었습니다.

        Again, John 11:54 puts Jesus in Ephraim which is slightly Northeast of Jerusalem and on the border of Samaria.  From their He apparently traveled North through Samaria and Galilee one more time.  It is possible He could have been meeting up with family and others to join in the pilgrimage to Jerusalem.  Luke 18:35 puts Jesus in Jericho which was the conventional route to follow to Jerusalem.
        또 하나의 사실은 요한복음 11:54절은 예수께서 에브라임이라는 동네에 머무셨다고 했는데, 에브라임은 예루살렘으로부터 약간 북동쪽, 그리고 사마리아와의 경계선에 위치한 동네였었습니다. 그 마을로부터 예수님은 다시 한 번 사마리아를 통과하여 갈릴리로 발걸음을 옮기셨을 것입니다. 만약에 예수께서 이 길을 선택하지 않으셨다면, 예수께서 예루살렘으로 순례의 길을 떠나는 여러 가족들과 사람들을 만나셨을 가능성이 매우 높습니다. 누가복음 18:35절은 예수께서 예루살렘으로 가는 일상적인 길을 택하셔서 여리고에 있다는 사실을 보여주고 있습니다.
Luke 18:35  
35 Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.
35 여리고에 가까이 가셨을 때에 한 맹인이 길 가에 앉아 구걸하다가



So, Luke does not explain why He took such a route, but a comparison of these gospels does gives us some clues. Now let’s look at verse 12:
그러므로 누가는 왜 예수께서 사마리아를 관통하는 길을 택하셨는지에 대하여 설명해주지 않고 있지만, 이렇게 우리가 복음서들을 대조해보면 우리는 그 이유에 대한 약간의 단서들을 얻을 수 있습니다. 이제 12절 말씀을 봅시다.

12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
12 한 마을에 들어가시니 나병환자 열 명이 예수를 만나 멀리 서서  

           It doesn’t say what village, but we do know the Bible shows that those with such contagious or potentially contagious diseases were not allowed to live a normal life inside the village.  
        어느 마을인지는 구체적으로 말해주지 않고 있지만, 성경이 우리에게 보여주기를 원하는 것은 이러한 전염병이나 전염성이 있는 질병을 가진 사람들은 마을 안에서 살 수 있는 정상적인 삶을 사는 것이 허락되지 않았다는 것입니다.

Leviticus 13:45-46 says, 45 "Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ 46 As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.
레위기 13:45-46은 말씀하시기를 45 나병환자는 옷을 찢고 머리를 풀며 윗입술을 가리고 외치기를 “부정하다, 부정하다” 할 것이요 46 병 있는 날 동안은 늘 부정할 것이라 그가 부정한즉 혼자 살되 진영 밖에서 살지니라

          So, this was a common practice and these ten lepers were standing outside the village far off from Jesus.  One reason people with contagious diseases were separated from others is obvious (so their disease will not spread among the others who are clean).  
        그러므로 이것은 일반적인 관습이며, 이 열 명의 나병환자들은 마을 밖에 서서 예수님으로부터 멀리 떨어져 있었던 것입니다. 전염병을 가지고 있는 사람들이 사람들로부터 떨어져 있는 한 가지 이유는 분명한데 (그렇게 함으로써 그 질병이 아직 깨끗한 사람들에게 퍼지지 않게 하려는 것입니다.)

        Another reason is the people looked at lepers as spiritually unclean and also that they were products of God’s disfavor.  Touching one with leprosy was comparable to touching a dead body.  
        다른 이유는 사람들이 나병환자들을 영적으로 부정하다고 보았고, 또 하나님께로부터 저주를 받아 태어난 사람들로 보았던 것입니다. 나병환자를 만지는 것은 시체를 만지는 것과 동등하게 비교될 수 있습니다.

   The lepers could not live a normal life.  Family members or friends of the lepers would likely sometimes bring them comforts like food and clothing.  As people would pass by, they would also cry for pity hoping they might receive some food or other comfort from the stranger.  Possibly, they may not have been expecting Jesus to heal them when they cried for pity. They may have been hoping for food.
        나병환자들은 정상적인 삶을 살 수 없었습니다. 나병환자의 가족들이나 친구들은 때때로 음식이나 의복과 같은 것을 가져다줌으로써 그들의 마음을 위로하여 주었습니다. 행인들이 지나갈 때, 나병환자들은 그 낯선 사람으로부터 약간의 음식이나 다른 적선을 받을까하는 희망을 갖고 동정을 구하며 소리를 지르고는 하였습니다. 아마도, 이 나병환자들은 그러한 동정을 구하며 소리를 질렀을 때, 예수께서 그들을 고쳐주시기를 기대하지 않았었는지도 모릅니다. 그들은 아마도 음식을 구걸하기 위하여 소리를 질렀을 것입니다.

13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
13 소리를 높여 이르되 예수 선생님이여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 하거늘

          So, they cry out to Jesus for pity.  We also can see in the Bible that this cry was common for those desiring  healing.  (Luke 16:24, 18:38-39;Matthew 9:27;15:22;17:15;20:31;Mark10:47,48).  The text does not indicate what they really wanted, but we can tell that what they received was better than food and clothing.
        그러므로 그들은 예수께 동정을 구하며 소리를 질렀습니다. 우리는 또한 성경으로부터 이렇게 부르짖는 것이 치유를 구하는 자들에게 일반적인 것임을 볼 수 있습니다. (누가복음 16:24, 18:38-39; 마태복음 9:27; 15:22; 17:15; 20:31; 마가복음 10:47-48) 본문은 이 나병환자들이 진정으로 원한 것이 무엇인지에 대하여 분명하게 말해주지 않지만, 우리는 그들이 음식과 의복보다 훨씬 더 좋은 것을 받았다고 말할 수 있습니다.

14 So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
14 보시고 이르시되 가서 제사장들에게 너희 몸을 보이라 하셨더니 그들이 가다가 깨끗함을 받은지라.

  Right away, they knew Jesus was not going to give them food or water.  Jesus told them to go show themselves to the priests.  They could have laughed at Him knowing as they looked at each other that the priests would not declared them clean.  
        그들은 즉각적으로 예수께서 그들에게 주시려고 하는 것이 음식이나 물이 아닌 것을 알았습니다. 예수께서는 그들에게 말씀하시기를 제사장들에게 가서 그들의 몸을 보여주라고 하셨던 것입니다. 제사장들에게 가서 그들의 몸을 보여주어도 제사장들이 그들을 깨끗하다고 선언하지 않을 것이라고 말하며 나병환자들은 서로 바라보며 예수님을 비웃었을 수도 있었습니다.

        But they didn’t laugh at Jesus, they all believed Him enough to listen to His command.  And, they went.  As they went maybe they were looking at each other and saw that their leprosy was healed and they were cleansed.  Maybe they started out walking and as they looked at each other, they walked faster and then started to move as quickly as possible.  
        그러나 그들은 예수님의 말씀을 듣고 비웃지 않았습니다. 그들은 예수님의 명령을 들을 수 있기에 충분한 믿음을 가지고 있었습니다. 그리고 그들은 제사장들에게 갔습니다. 아마 그들은 가면서 그들의 나병이 치유되고 그들이 깨끗해졌다는 것을 서로를 바라보면서 보게 되었을 것입니다. 그들은 아마도 더 빨리 걷고, 또 서로를 바라보며, 또 더 빨리 걷고 가능한 최대한 빨리 갔을 것입니다.

        Maybe they were thinking about how they could go back to living a normal life or the life they once lived.  The healing occurred after they obeyed Jesus’ command.  They were all healed of leprosy but only one of their hearts was thankful to God.
        아마도 그들은 일상적인 삶 혹은 그들이 한 때 살았던 그러한 삶으로 어떻게 돌아갈 수 있을까를 생각하였을 것입니다. 치유는 그들이 예수님의 명령에 순종한 후에 일어났습니다. 그들 모두는 나병으로부터 치유를 받았습니다만, 오직 그들 중의 한 사람의 마음만이 하나님께 감사하였습니다.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with aloud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
15 그 중의 한 사람이 자기가 나은 것을 보고 큰 소리로 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 돌아와 16 예수의 발아래 엎드리어 감사하니 그는 사마리아 사람이라

          It was only the Samaritan who expressed gratitude for what Jesus had done for all of them.  Naaman who was healed of leprosy by washing himself in the Jordan 7 times had a similar response:  2 Kings 5:15  15 Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God. He stood before him and said, "Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant."
           예수께서 그들 모두를 위하여 해 주신 것에 대하여 감사를 표현한 사람은 오직 그 사마리아인뿐이었습니다. 그의 몸을 요단강에서 일곱 번 씻은 후 나병이 치료를 받은 나아만 장군도 비슷한 반응을 보였습니다. 열왕기하 5:15 말씀을 봅시다. “나아만이 모든 군대와 함께 하나님의 사람에게로 도로 와서 그의 앞에 서서 이르되 내가 이제 이스라엘 외에는 온 천하에 신이 없는 줄을 아나이다 청하건대 당신의 종에게서 예물을 받으소서 하니”

        It is kind of interesting that when the ten were all unclean how they were together and socially accepted each other whether Jews or Samaritans.  But, when they were healed and made physically clean, there was just one who had a heart of gratitude.  
        흥미로운 것은 열 사람 모두가 나병으로 인하여 부정하였을 때, 유대인이건 사마리아인이건 상관하지 않고 서로 함께 거하였으며 사회적으로 서로를 용납하였던 방식입니다. 그러나 그들이 치유함을 받고, 육체적으로 깨끗하여졌을 때, 감사의 마음을 가진 사람은 오직 한 사람뿐이었습니다.

        He was a Samaritan.  The Samaritan displayed the most complete healing because of his gratitude.   He was not so eager to get back to his normal life that he couldn’t return to Jesus and give thanks.  
        그는 바로 사마리아사람이었습니다. 그 사마리아 사람은 그의 감사함으로 인하여서 가장 온전한 치유를 체험하게 되었습니다. 그는 예수님께 돌아와서 감사를 드리지 않고서 그의 일상적인 삶으로 돌아가는 것을 그렇게 서두르지 않았습니다.

        And he didn’t just say "thank you," he shouted with aloud voice glorifying God and fell at Jesus’ feet giving thanks to Him.  The Samaritan alone was not only saved from leprosy, but his faith along with his gratitude, indicated that he was made whole- that he was saved.  
        그는 단지 “감사합니다”라고 말하는 것으로 그치지 않고, 큰 목소리로 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 소리를 질렀고, 예수님의 발 앞에 그의 감사를 표현했습니다. 나병으로부터 구원을 받았을 뿐만 아니라, 감사와 함께하는 그의 믿음으로 인하여 온전하여진, 즉 구원을 받았다는 것을 분명하게 보여주는 사람은 오직 이 사마리아인 한 명뿐이었습니다.

  17 So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?"
17 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 열 사람이 다 깨끗함을 받지 아니하였느냐 그 아홉은 어디 있느냐 18 이 이방인 외에는 하나님께 영광을 돌리러 돌아온 자가 없느냐 하시고
           I was thinking about what happened when the other 9 saw the Samaritan returning to Jesus instead of going with them. They were in a rush to go one way and suddenly the Samaritan turned back!
        그 사마리아인이 그 아홉 사람들과 함께 가던 길을 멈추고 예수께 돌아가는 것을 보았을 때, 어떤 광경이 벌어졌을지 저는 생각해 보았습니다. 그들 모두가 함께 같은 방향으로 부지런히 가다가, 갑자가 그 사마리아 사람이 돌아섰습니다.

        Maybe they asked him, "Where are you going?"  …Maybe they immediately detached themselves from him socially once they realized they were healed because he was a Samaritan and they were Jews.  Maybe the Samaritan told them, " I am going back to thank Jesus."  
        아마도 그들은 “어디 가?”라고 그에게 물었을 것입니다. 아마도 그 아홉 명은 그는 사마리아 사람이고 자신들은 유대인들이기 때문에 그들이 치유함을 받았다는 것을 깨달았을 때, 사회적으로 그들 자신을 그 사마리아 사람으로부터 즉각적으로 구분하여 놓았을 것입니다. 아마도 그 사마리아 사람은 그들에게 “나는 예수님께 감사드리려고 돌아가네.”라고 말했을 것입니다.

        The Bible does not say anything about any exchanges between the ten when they were healed.  But the Bible does make it clear that Jesus was pleased with the heart of the Samaritan and not so happy that the other 9 who did not return to give glory to God.
        성경은 그 열 사람의 나병환자들이 치료를 받았을 때, 그들 사이에서 어떤 대화가 오고갔는지에 대하여 아무런 내용도 말해주지 않고 있습니다. 그러나 성경이 분명하게 하는 것은 예수께서는 그 사마리아 사람의 감사하는 마음을 기뻐하셨으며, 나머지 아홉 사람들이 하나님께 영광을 돌리기 위해서 돌아오지 않은 것으로 인하여서 너무나 마음이 좋지 않으셨습니다.

19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."
19 그에게 이르시되 일어나 가라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였느니라 하시더라
  As I briefly indicated, only the Samaritan was made whole.  Not only was he saved from the physical disease of leprosy, but he also was saved spiritually.  This is what is indicated by the Greek translation of Your faith has made you well.
제가 이미 간략하게 지적하였듯이, 그 사마리아 사람만이 온전하게 구원을 받았습니다. 그는 나병이라는 육체적인 질병으로부터 깨끗함을 받았을 뿐만 아니라 영적으로도 구원을 받았습니다. 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였느니라 라는 말씀의 헬라어가 가리켜주는 것이 바로 그렇습니다.

        The other 9 lepers healing was outward but the Samaritan’s gratitude gave clear evidence of inward healing. Our salvation should mirror the same heart of this Samaritan.  
        다른 아홉 명의 나병환자들은 외적인 치유함을 받았지만, 그 사마리아인의 감사는 내적인 치유의 분명한 증거를 보여주고 있습니다. 우리들의 구원은 이 사마리아인의 마음과 동일한 것을 반영하는 것이어야 하겠습니다.

  When I began the message today, I said that Thanksgiving is one day out of the year that we celebrate giving thanks to God for what He has done for us.  Thanksgiving has passed, but does that mean that we have to stop giving thanks?  I would hope not!  
        제가 오늘 메시지를 전하기 시작할 즈음에, 말씀드리기를 감사절은 하나님께서 우리를 위하여 행하신 일에 대하여 하나님께 감사를 드리는 것을 우리가 경축하는 한 해의 한 날이라고 말씀드렸습니다. 감사절은 지났고, 그래서 우리는 감사드리기를 그쳐야 한다는 말씀입니까? 그렇지 않기를 빕니다.

        I pray that every day we can have the heart of the Samaritan spending time at Jesus feet and voicing our thanks to God through prayer.  I also pray that our life can be an offering of thanks as we serve God the rest of our days.  
        제가 기도하는 바는 그 사마리아 사람처럼 예수님의 발 앞에서 감사를 드리기 위하여 시간을 드리며, 기도를 통하여 하나님께 감사를 표하기 위하여 목소리를 높이는 우리의 매일이 되기를 바라는 것입니다. 제가 또 기도하는 바는 우리들의 남은 나날들 동안 우리의 삶이 하나님께 드려지는 감사의 제물이 되기를 바라는 것입니다.

          Looking at this passage we can see that Jesus did not only want to heal the ten physically.  His greater concern was that they may draw nearer to Him.  
        이 본문을 보면서 우리가 알 수 있는 것은 예수님은 단지 이 열 사람들을 몸만을 고쳐주기를 원하신 것이 아니라는 사실입니다. 그분의 가장 큰 관심사는 그 열 사람이 모두 다 그분께 다시 가까이 나아오는 것이었습니다.

        It would be wrong for me to tell others that if they come to God, that there will be no troubles in their life.  We who have been Christians for years know that it is not the easy life.  Sometimes it is very hard.  
        제가 다른 사람들에게 만일 그들이 하나님께 나아오기만 한다면, 그들의 삶에 더 이상 문제가 없을 것이라고 말하는 것은 잘못된 것입니다. 여러 해 동안을 그리스도인으로서의 삶을 살은 우리들은 인생이 그렇게 쉬운 삶이 아니라는 것을 압니다. 때때로 인생은 매우 힘듭니다.

        What will the 9 do when the next problem comes?  Would they seek Jesus again to heal them and then forget about Him again.  Sadly, in the church this happens too many times.   Only one of the ten did what pleased Him.  Only one remained near to Him.  The others were already far off.  How near are you to Jesus right now?
        다음 문제들이 닥쳐올 때, 그 아홉 사람들은 무엇을 할까요? 그들은 다시 예수님을 찾아서 그들을 고쳐 다라고 간구한 후에 다시 그분을 잊어버릴까요? 슬프게도, 교회에서는 이런 일들이 많이 일어나고 있습니다. 오직 열 명 중에서 한 사람만이 예수님께서 기뻐하시는 일을 했습니다. 오직 한 사람만이 예수님의 곁에 머물렀습니다. 그 나머지는 이미 멀리 떠나버렸습니다. 지금 이 시간에 당신은 예수님과 얼마나 가까이 계시나요?

          When Jesus helps us with our physical needs, that is not His greatest concern.  He wants us to be healed spiritually more than anything.  He does not just want to be our Savior, but also to rightly hold His place as Lord.
        예수께서 우리의 육체적인 필요를 도와주실 때, 그러한 육체적인 도움만을 주는 것은 그분의 가장 중요한 관심사가 아닙니다. 그분은 그 어떠한 것보다도 우리들을 영적으로 치료하기를 원하십니다. 그분은 단지 우리의 구주만이 되기를 원하는 것뿐만 아니라, 주님으로서 정당하게 그분의 자리에 앉으시는 것도 원하십니다.
          Apparently, the Jews in this passage only needed Him to save them, but would not submit to Him as Lord.  A heart of gratitude accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior.  A heart of gratitude is willing to give up returning to their "old life" and offer up a new life devoted to God.  
        분명하게도, 이 본문에 나오는 아홉 명의 유대인들은 예수님을 오직 그들의 병을 낫게 해주는 분으로만 필요로 했지, 그분을 주님으로서 섬기기를 원하지는 않았습니다. 감사의 마음은 예수님을 주님과 구주로 영접합니다. 감사의 마음은 그들의 “옛날의 삶”으로 돌아가는 것을 기꺼이 포기하고, 하나님을 향하여 헌신되어진 새로운 삶을 기꺼이 드립니다.

  Our thanks can be offered in many ways, not just words.   Our thanks can be both in our words and in our actions.  Our thanks can be seen in loving people in the like manner of Christ.  
        우리의 감사는 단지 말로만이 아닌 여러 가지 방법으로 드려질 수 있습니다. 우리들의 감사는 말과 행동 두 가지 다가 될 수 있습니다. 우리들의 감사는 예수님이 그렇게 하셨던 것처럼 사람들을 사랑하는 태도로 드러날 수도 있습니다.

        Sin is not leprosy.  Sin can destroy the body and soul.  Jesus can heal us of sin just as He healed these 10 of leprosy. When He does this, our hearts will bring forth fruit showing how thankful we truly are.  
        죄는 나병이 아닙니다. 죄는 육체와 영혼을 파괴할 수 있습니다. 예수님은 이 열 명의 나병 환자들을 고치셨던 것처럼 우리들의 죄의 문제를 고치실 수 있습니다. 예수께서 이렇게 우리의 죄를 고치실 때, 우리의 마음은 우리가 얼마나 진정으로 감사하는지를 보여드리는 열매를 맺게 될 것입니다.

        I pray that each of us can have faith that shows gratitude just as this Samaritan and not just at Thanksgiving, but each day that we reside in this temporary dwelling called earth.  Let’s pray.
        제가 기도하는 것은 우리들 하나하나가 이 지구라고 불리는 임시 거주지에 사는 동안 그저 감사절 하루만이 아니라 이 사마리아 사람이 했던 것처럼 매일 감사를 드러내는 믿음을 갖기를 바라는 것입니다. 함께 기도합시다.
